The Theatre Support Fund+ is an organisation that supports three important charities. Recently, the organisation produced a charity single and produced a music video featuring some West End stars. Here at White Stores, we recognise the hardships the theatre industry has faced this year so were more than happy to supply some of our artificial Christmas trees to the video.

"Our artificial trees were perfect for the video as opposed to real trees as it meant they were guaranteed to last throughout the production."

2020 has been an incredibly tough year for many industries, in particular the entertainment industry, including theatres. Not being able to open their doors, has had a huge impact on the venues, staff and stars of the show alike. So, the Theatre Support Fund had the idea to release a charity single in order to raise money for 3 worthwhile causes. All profits from the single will go to the theatre support Fund+ and be distributed to Acting For Others, The Fleabag Support Fund and the NHS COVID-19 Urgent Appeal.

‘Christmas Again (The Show Must Go On)’ is a brand-new, original song written by Anna Hale, Joe McNeice and Matthew Spalding and features 30 West End performers including: Mark Anderson (School of Rock), Marc Antolin (Matilda), Luke Bayer (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie), Tracie Bennett (Follies), Norman Bowman (Les Misérables), Alex Cardall (Evita, The Season), Oscar Conlon-Morrey (Only Fools and Horses), Matthew Croke (Aladdin), Adam Davidson (Mary Poppins), Janie Dee (Follies), Alice Fearn (WICKED), Tyrone Huntley (Jesus Christ Superstar), Rachel John (Hamilton), Ryan Kopel (The Book of Mormon), Rebecca Lock (The Phantom of the Opera), Jack Loxton (Dear Evan Hansen), Robert Madge (Les Misérables), Rebecca McKinnis (Dear Evan Hansen), Claire Moore (The Phantom of the Opera), Martha Pothen (The Visit), Joanna Riding (The Girls), Clive Rowe (Guys and Dolls), Savannah Stevenson (Mary Poppins, Wicked), Noah Thomas (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie), Harriet Thorpe (MAMMA MIA!, Wicked), Sally Ann Triplett (MAMMA MIA!), Lauren Ward (Dear Evan Hansen). William Huke and Ellie Sayles, recent Royal Central School of Speech and Drama graduates also feature in the track.

The music video is available to watch on YouTube and you can purchase the song via Apple Music and iTunes – all profits go to charity. You can also stream the single via Spotify.

At White Stores, we were honoured to be asked to be a part of the production of the music video and were only too happy to supply the charity with a medley of our snowy artificial Christmas trees. 8 of our flocked trees are featured in the music video to create a winter wonderland appearance.

Our artificial trees were perfect for the video as opposed to real trees as it meant they were guaranteed to last throughout the production without losing needles or needing to be watered.

The single was released on the 28th November and has so far been played on BBC Radio 2 and Magic FM. There will also be an interview with the Theatre Support Fund+ team on Talk Radio on 19th December.

The organisation is pleased with the support they have received so far and are hoping that the song picks up more traction as Christmas gets closer. At White Stores, we encourage everyone to watch the music video and to download the song in order to support this worthwhile cause.
