We sat down with the designer

We had a chat with Charlie Pritchard, product designer at Nova Outdoor Living to chat about all things Bella.

So, Charlie... how did you come up with the idea concept for the new Bella Collection?

“We travelled to Holland and noticed that the market was moving towards platform sofa sets. We found that more materials like teak were being used and wanted to bring the trend to the UK. We wanted a concept that was multifunctional, so the customer has many options but also modern and stylish with a blend of natural materials. Therefore, the design uses aluminium and teak with removable backrests and multi configurations.”

What customer-led benefits does the new Bella collection include?

“The customer-led benefits are that it has a number of configurations to suit any garden. it has removable teak arms and table so that the customer can look after the teak away from the sofa, and the cushions are made from the best materials for extra comfort.”

What is your favourite feature of the new Bella collection?

“My favourite feature has to be the interchangeable backrest and side tables. This means you can have it how you like!”

Why did you decide to make this set modular?

“Modular means versatile and we understand customers want the most for their money.”

How would you dress your Bella set?

“I would complement the hues of the teaks using natural earthy colours like browns, and this will sit nicely with the dark grey cushions.”
