As we step into 2025, the world of UK garden furniture is buzzing with exciting new trends designed to transform outdoor places into stylish and functional spaces. From sustainable materials to multifunctional designs, garden furniture for 2025 is all about blending elegance with practicality.
In this blog, we’ll sit down with buying director Rob Mead to discuss top garden furniture trends for 2025, highlighting innovative designs, popular materials, and must-have features. Stay ahead of the curve and create your perfect space with these key insights into UK garden furniture trends.
"Sustainability is one of the biggest considerations throughout all stages within the design and concept process."
- Rob Mead
What garden furniture materials are trending in 2025?
Rope is proving to be this year's trending material, often used to complement and soften a weatherproof aluminium frame for a contemporary design. Rope garden furniture seems to be taking market share from rattan furniture, which has been the dominant front-runner for the past 2 decades.
How can you use your garden better in 2025?
We introduced pergolas to the market back in 2020, and now it's the number 1 best-selling product category in outdoor living. Pergolas allow you to get the most use out of your garden, providing shade on sunny days, and shelter when the rain comes.
How will sustainability influence garden furniture trends in 2025?
Sustainability is one of the biggest considerations throughout all stages of the design and concept process. For example, we are working with one of the largest fabric manufacturers to produce eco-friendly cushion fabrics from GRS-certified plastic sources; recycling plastic bottles as opposed to producing new plastics.
What role does technology play in garden furniture this year?
Technology is still in its infancy for the garden furniture sector, however, we are noticing more lighting being integrated into garden designs by top garden landscapers. We are considering the right way to integrate technology into furniture without forcing the matter, everything in design should be done for a reason and have a purpose. This year we are launching a brand new LED light kit to go in our bestselling pergolas, this further encourages customers to use their gardens as much as possible.
What colour palettes are shaping the outdoor space in 2025?
Whilst grey is still dominating the market, we are noticing an increase in popularity for our new pebble colourway. This softer colour complements natural garden aesthetics, keeping the garden lighter with neutral, warm cushion fabrics.
What are your 3 go-to White Stores collections for 2025?
It's certainly not an easy task to select just 3 from our recently launched collections, but if I had to choose, it would be the following:
Sophia; this collection modernises the popular rattan furniture by fusing a woven rattan rope with the contemporary exposed aluminium framework. The deep cushions and soft curves make Sophia a gentle, yet refreshing, addition to all garden designs.
Isaac; for a more masculine, modern garden design, I'd pick Isaac. Its thick, powerful framework demands attention, and with high-back recliners integrated, it offers the ultimate relaxation.
Last but not least, it has to be Duke! All-weather fabric paired perfectly with quick-dry foam; this collection can be left outside all year round with no worries. The ultimate combination; Duke is stylish and convenient. I'm excited to launch the sun-lounging set this year to finish off a full family of furniture.
As we welcome 2025, UK garden furniture trends are redefining outdoor living with contemporary rope designs, eco-friendly materials, and versatile pergolas. Soft palettes like pebble complement natural aesthetics, while thoughtful tech integrations, like LED pergola lights, enhance usability.
This year, transform your outdoor space into a stylish, sustainable retreat with these exciting trends.
